Mar. 20, 2020 ...

To address the suspension of public transportation services in line with the national government's efforts to abate the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), the Metro Ilocos Norte Council (MINC), in partnership with the Provincial Resiliency Office of the Provincial Government will provide free transportation services for health personnel and medical patients starting tomorrow, March 21.

At present, Ilocos Norte is placed under an “enhanced community quarantine,” through the Executive Order No. 61-20 issued by Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, which strictly implements the said quarantine in the province, in compliance to the previous proclamation of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The medical transportation service of the PGIN will be free. However, it is only limited to health personnel patients from the province who undergo dialysis and chemotherapy treatment.

The Provincial Government encourages persons with medical needs to reach MINC Office at telephone number: 772-1212 (loc. 166), or mobile numbers: 0910-812-1758 (Smart) and 0917-116-0004 (Globe) for the arrangement of schedules.
